Children love to color, so why make them put the crayons back in the box when they aren't in use? This wooden whale crayon holder would be a great gift to give a child as a storage place for their set of eight crayons. My wife was a preschool director for 20 years and several years I made one of these for each child in her class. I was a university adjunct professor at the time and we joked that when her students started college, it would be time for us both to retire. Some of her former students are in college now, we are both retired, and the whale has probably been passed on to another young user!
